Great News for Soccer in Colorado

I received this email today from Colorado Storm. We don’t “favor” any clubs at Soccer Fit officially, but four of my kids have played for Storm and 2 still do. In addition, Zico is a director at Storm, so this does affect him directly.

Marc is a friend of the coaches at Soccer Fit-and we are very happy for him, and the bottom line is that this is great news for Colorado soccer and all of the kids who play at Storm…

“The Board of Directors (at Colorado Storm) is pleased to announce Marc Francis as President and General Manager of Colorado Storm beginning August 16, 2012.

Marc comes to Storm with over twenty five years of soccer coaching and management experience including ten years experience with the Australian Department of Defence, Managing Director of Wembley USA Soccer, Director of Coaching at Colorado Storm and most recently, Director of Coaching at Edge Soccer Club. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Regis University. Marc’s diverse business and soccer background make him ideally suited to lead Colorado Storm.

In his new role, Marc will be responsible for the fiscal, strategic, and operational growth and development of our club.  He is committed to making Colorado Storm the premier youth soccer organization in the state.  Please join us in welcoming Marc to our club.

Thank you,

Colorado Storm Board”

Cheers and congrats to Marc Francis from Soccer Fit!
