Brent “Zico” Ward
Brent Lives in The Denver Area With His Wife and Two Children
Zico has been known as one of the top youth soccer coaches in Colorado and nationwide for over 20 years. Zico is Canadian but grew up in Brazil, as his parents were missionaries. Zico currently frequents the jungles of Peru on missionary trips using soccer to reach out to many of the people he meets in the remote villages. Zico is fluent in English, Portuguese and also speaks Spanish.
Playing Experience:
Zico grew up playing soccer in Brazil. He played college soccer for Liberty College in Virginia where he started every game for 4 years and still holds the single season assist record. Zico played for the Colorado Comets and various other semi-pro and pro teams throughout the United States.
Coaching Experience:
Experience: (1985-90) -Instructor for Manitoba Soccer Assoc. Camps, (1991-92) -Coach of Varsity Boys & Girls at MBCI High School, (1994) - oach of JV Girls at Colorado Springs Christian School, (1995-97) - Lead Instructor for Sutton Soccer Schools, (1997-2014) - Director of Developmental Coaching for Colorado Storm. Director of Developmental Coaching for Colorado United - NSCAA National Staff Coach (2006-Present).
Currently a staff coach with Soccer Fit
Qualifications/Certification:
USSF: National Youth License and “B” License.
NSCAA: National Youth Diploma, Premier Diploma and Master Coach Diploma.
Dan Stratford
Dan lives in Denver and has 5 children: Tyler, Madison, Eli, Eva & Juliet.
Dan has coached soccer at almost all levels including youth recreational, youth competitive, high school & men’s amateur. Dan has coached for Colorado United, Colorado Storm, DC Real, British Soccer Camps, Soccer International, Kansas City’s Udinese, and Soccer Fit. Dan played high school soccer for Shawnee Mission Northwest, college soccer with the regional champions Missouri Southern State University (the same school where Rod Smith played American football), and at National Top 20 community college Johnson County Community College.
Dan also played professional with Kansas City Attack In the NPSL in the fall of 1993.
Coaching Experience/Credentials:
Earned his USSF “B” License in 1994.
Coached Competitive Teams for Colorado Storm, Colorado United, DC Real, Udinese & Others
Education:
Graduated with a BS in Biology from Rockhurst University in Kansas City.
Graduated with an MBA from Regis University in 2006.

Sparks coach for Colorado Storm
Coach of his daughter’s teams.
